Cosmetic Dentistry

In recent years, cosmetic dentistry has become more popular. This is most likely because advancements in technology and procedures allow patients to improve their smile quickly.

Cosmetic treatments can include altering the shape/size of specific teeth, repairing broken teeth, getting rid of gaps in between teeth, brightening the color of teeth, replacing teeth that are missing, and more.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are artificial teeth and roots that are added to the lower or upper jaw. This procedure is intended to help alleviate joint pain, replace missing teeth, support dentures or bridges, or boost facial tissue.

Getting dental implants involves several dental appointments spread out over multiple months. A set of impressions and X-rays will be needed to determine the space available for the implant. Following the procedure of adding the implant, the bone will need around six months to heal. Additionally surgeries may be needed depending on the treatment plan. Then the artificial teeth are designed and fitted into the patient’s mouth.

This is a fixed alternative to having dentures and can deliver the type of support that some dentures cannot.

We use Straumann implants at our practice.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers can be used to help fix cracked teeth, odd-shaped teeth, crooked teeth, enlarged or under-sized teeth and discolored teeth. Porcelain veneers have the same color and shape as a natural tooth and are placed on top of teeth, which boosts your smile.

These veneers are designed in a dental lab after you go through an impression or mold. Once the veneers are done, they are sent to our office and you will come in for another appointment to have them fitted.

Porcelain
Fixed Bridges

A porcelain fixed bridge is a way to fix a missing tooth and they resemble a natural tooth. This type is two crowns that slide over two teeth (the anchors). They are then attached to artificial teeth, which helps fill the gap from the tooth that was missing.

These can be utilized in instances where speaking/chewing needs to be restored, to prevent teeth from drifting, as an upgrade to a partial denture, fix gaps, and restoring a smile.

Teeth Whitening

If you have yellow or stained teeth then chances are you may be interested in teeth whitening. Having bright, white teeth helps boost self-confidence and we want to help you get there.

We accomplish this through laser teeth whitening. This procedure involves a whitening gel being placed on your teeth. Then your teeth will be exposed to a laser light, which is safe and comfortable. The laser activates the gel, which enhances the whitening procedure. The procedure generally takes about an hour, which also includes some time consulting with the dentist.

Once you are done, you will be able to enjoy the benefits of a pearly white smile!
